Through a process of stand work and flat pattern drafting, I sculpted shapes inspired by the comfort and protection of a duvet—a metaphor for the need for solace and support during this cyclical experience. The resulting silhouettes are embracing yet overflowing, echoing both physical discomfort and emotional intensity.

Departing from conventional red tones, I explored a palette of khaki green, cerise red, and pale pink. Green silk dupion conveys a sense of fragility, while red silk taffeta embodies passion and hormonal flux. Hanging red bead embellishments subtly reference the flow of blood—provocative yet elegant, a visual reminder that beauty can be found in what society deems taboo.
